WellData are sharing the talents of the team to show our dedication to provide the best database support in the industry. This month, one of our Database Administrators renewed her MVP membership. Here is an insight into how Annette Allen has gained MVP status for a fourth consecutive year.
Microsoft’s Most Valuable Person award recognises technology experts who are going beyond expectations to help the community. To gain an MVP award, person/s must demonstrate an active online presence and willingness to offer voluntary services.
There are just over 4,000 technical experts and community leaders across the globe who have an MVP Award.
Annette’s contributions to the technical community are inspiring and she was recommended as a suitable candidate. Annette has produced blogs, participated in user groups, hosted events, and organised conferences.
In March, James, Richard and Luke attended SQLBits to witness Annette’s success in helping to run the 5-day training marathon at London ExCeL. Microsoft and Intel sponsored the largest Microsoft Data Platform conference in Europe. It has also won ‘UK Conference of the Year’, which is a stunning achievement for Annette and the rest of her team who founded the conference in 2007.
Annette has also shared knowledge by presenting to audiences in America and Germany. Meanwhile, back in England – close to home, Annette has remained a continuous figure at Data SouthWest. The community group runs monthly meetings to address and advise on hot topics.
Annette’s most prominent achievement is her membership of the Azure Data Community Advisory Board – as one of only 9 global members. As part of this, Microsoft trusts Annette to share community feedback with the company to continue empowering the community.
